HGC Levels

I had a D & C two weeks ago and yesterday my doc  did a blood test because it seems that My HGC levels are still high.  they are at 150 what does that mean?

No worries...my HCG levels were high for 9 weeks after my D&C.  Everyone's levels decend at a different rate.  It also depends on how high your levels were when you miscarried.  6 weeks after my D&C I didn't get a period so we started checking my HCG levels and tracked them for the next 3 weeks straight and they FINALLY got down to a 5 nine full weeks after my D&C.  I did get pregnant two months later and am now 12 weeks today!  My levels were only dropping 2-6 points every 48 hours so I would go for example from a 53 to a 49 so it took FOREVER for them to get down.  It didn't mean anything, the only thing you will want to look for and the only way to check this is to do an ultrasound or to keep checking your levels is for something missed during the D&C. My doc said if my levels ever stalled, we would do an ultrasound to see if a piece of the placenta was left in there, etc.  This would cause the levels to remain constant or even go back up.   How far along were you when you had the D&C?  I was 13 weeks 4 days and I know my levels were quite high as at 9 weeks they were at 119,000. I had a placental hemorrhage that took over- baby was fine it was the placenta that wasn't.  I hope this helps you in that it isn't uncommon for them to take awhile to go down but also to keep an eye on it in case something was missed in the D&C.
