HIGH B.P EARLY PG

HIGH B.P EARLY PG

i am only 6 weeks pg, and today my feet are swollen, my legs are too a little, and my bp is 185/65. im worried that this is happening so early. i have been sick to my stomach with a headach for the past several days, can this make your bp go up? im off to drink lots of water and put my feet up now. i know i ate too much salt today but this is rediculous!!

Glad it went down--doesn't it drive you crazy how we worry about everything?
That does sound early for swelling--but if you ate a lot of salt that's why, I'm sure.

I am 20 weeks and STILL can't stop analyzing and worrying about everything.

Good luck and take it easy!

Glad that it went down, but definitely follow up with your doctor. I dont mean to scare you, but high blood pressure has risks both for the mother and the baby. They will probably put you on low sodium diet.

185/65 is a very strange blood pressure.  Sometimes a reading can be off, the machine can misread, etc.  185/65 sounds like an error, but if you are repeatedly getting similar readings, call your doctor immediately.

Watch it, and don't put too much stock in a single, odd reading.  If it is consistently high, let your doctor know.  That should ALWAYS be the first place you go with a serious concern, not here.

in pg its the lower number they consentrate on ! if over 95 they should look into it , but i think you need to mention it anyway just to ease your mind . x x
