Had DnC yesterday - no bleeding is that normal?

Hello everyone.  Well, I went in for the D&C yesterday - not too horrible.  NOthing like my first m/c and having to go thru that alone and at home during the night.  I was in/out of the hospital in a few hours and sent home to rest yesterday.  I haven't bled much from the D&C.  I have only lower back pain and some cramping. My first question is - I haven't bled too much from the D&C - is that normal?  And the other question is, when should I expect AF to return?  Thanks in advance for responding.

YOu may spot over the next few days.  When i had my D&C back in january i spotted very light for a week, then it went completely away.  After a few days of nothing i had spotting again for another week.  

I had my first AF 6 weeks and 1 day after the D&C.  They say anywhere from 4-8 weeks post D&C is normal.  Also, try not to have sex for at least the next 4 weeks while your uterus/cervix heals.

I had a d&c a few months back and I bled very little too.  I did have cramps for 24 hours or so but not too terrible.  My AF did take nearly 8 weeks to come though.  Overall it wasnt a horrible experience - the IV was the worst part if you ask me.  It was the circumstances that were sad.  All the best!

Hi I had D&C in sept.. I had ver very light bleeding for the first two weeks which were very very light..(only when whipped after peeing sorry if tmi) hope this helps. Amanda

I never bled...at all...I am 5 weeks post D&C and still no AF, hcg is down to 29 though, yay!!!! So it should be coming soon.

I didn't bleed at all the first two days and then spotted on days 3-4-5...I thought it was strange too.

My AF came back 7.2 weeks later...since then I did find out I have a blood clotting disorder which kind of makes sense on why I never bleed much I guess, even when I cut my finger or something.

The only reason I even found out I had this is because that was my 3rd m/c

I only had a light bleed 3 days after the procedure. Took 6 weeks for my next period. All the best and rest heaps
