Had a miscarriage and still havent had a period. Could I be pregnant again?

Hi my name is Amber my fiance' and i got pregnant in Nov 2008. We were SO EXCITED!  We went to the doctor 12/27/09 and had the D&C 1/9/09. We would have been first time parents but we were really looking forward to it. It still takes a toll on me especially being around my sister with her 14mo old. I havent had a period yet and honestly we really hope that we are pregnant again. Is this normal that i havent spotted or anything? What could increase my chances of us being pregnant right now? Please help we are desperate. Thanks Amber

Sometimes after a D&C it can take several months for your period to regulate itself again so yes, not having a period yet is quite normal.  That being said, is is possible for some women to get pregnant during the month after a D&C (some women ovulate soon after a D&C while others may take several months).

Amber, it would not be unreasonable to take a pregnancy test.  Anything can happen after a D&C.
