Hey all. I figured I give it a go on this site because I'm completely lost at what to name our baby. We just found out that we are having a baby girl! I was totally expecting a boy and so, I didnt really even think about a girls name. I like Hannah and isabella but I'm not in LOVE with either. I need some help ladies.
Also, I was thinking maybe we should wait to see what she looks like before we name her. Has anyone ever done that or is it considered strange?

Hey, I am also having a girl and decided to wait to see the baby before naming her- I like Sophia Grace and Mia. Hannah is an adorable name for a girl :)
Maybe you could have a list of a few names, and then when she gets here see which one is most fitting.
Oh!! I heard the cutest idea for a girl name on the radio a few nights back, this couple was going to name their littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys girl Charlotte, but call her Charlie for short....I thought that was so cute!!!
I think I may have to see her to name her. We have no names that both of us like, and only a couple that either of us like a lot. My dh wants to name her Ayliana, but has no middle name choice. I don't like it. I gave him a list of choices, but he didn't like any of them. She will be her by Jan 15th at the latest, so now I don't know what to do.
yes, wait until you see her. As soon as you look at her littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummysfaceFace pain the one you love will come to you. I am naming mine Savanna but if she comes out with dark hair like my grandmother (I am blonde) I know I will name her Eva. After everything I been through with this pregnancy she had to be her guardian angel. Girls have so many pretty names, boy names are my problem.
I've never been crazy about that name until I heard that they were going to call her Charlie. I could just picture a happy littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys girl with pigtails, and I was in love with that name :)
my husband like generic names like corey, or shawna . he says they get a better chance on a job application,, men?? whatever.. I love alexis, I always let my husband name our kids.. But I get final say.. each name suits them. yours will too..
I am sure you read it yesterday but we picked Avery for a girl. I have always liked this name. I also like Lauren, Taylor, Gracie and Delaney. I saw someone liked Carson for a girl that was going to be our boy name. :)
Hi, i have had the worst trouble figuring out a middle name for my lil girl too. I hope her name fits her, but i know what u mean, waiting to see the child first before actually sticking to a name. I am using my maiden name for sure for her first name. So far i'm going with Haley McKenzie.
we're one of those couples that picks out the name practically the day we find out the sex! We actually already had our girl name picked out at about ten weeks this time, we're naming her Lily. Honestly I just can't imagine trying to pick out a name after the baby's already born, sounds too stressful for me :) My friend who just had a little boy had about four names picked out and decided after he was born, that sounds pretty manageable.
We were in the same boat. Boys names were NEVER a problem for us. We found out we were pregnant and immediately decided on the boys names (all three times) but when our little baby "GIRL" was born this time...what a SURPRISE so much for our BOYS name!!! We decided to honour a family member. My DH grandmother was the sweetest and her name was Laura. Our baby girl definitly is a LAURA! We also liked Chloe, Alexandria, Abby, Jessica and Hannah.
before i had my daughter i wanted to name her tatiyana angelique, but when she was born her father wanted to name her veronica, but i had to name her tatiyana..everyone in the hospital got in it and said their opinions.....so her name ended up being veronica tatiyana, instead of taityana being her first name, since they said it sounds better
How funny - you like Hannah And Isabella. I have a 4 year old Hannah Nicole and I am having An Isabella Rose next week. I also have a Taylor Mae. Also, my 1 lonely boy is Drew.
I love the Name Hannah. My husband picked our second childs name and I was unsure of it untill I saw her little face and Hannah Elizabeth is who she is and I adore that name it fits her so well. My first child is Kristine Diane and now we are having our third and final child. and yes also a girl. This time we are struggling with names too. I am 30 weeks and have not decided on a name. We talked about Leigha. I am just not sure. Then there is the middle name delimma too. Boy this can be one of the biggest stressers of having a baby. Finding a name that both you and your husband can agree on and that will fit your precious angel when they enter this world and go to school with the name you pick. I have even went as far as pulling out my oldest childs year books and looking for names. Silly, desperate and true. good luck. I do agree with having a list of a couple of names that you and your husband can agree on and taking it with you and when your precious little one is laid in your arms the right one on your list will fit.
Im in the same boat not knowing what to name my little girl! so frustrating! me and hubbie cannot agree! i like colette, sierra, and julia and he likes alyssa, jessica, and carissa. i am due mid feb so we got to get this done!
hi
when i had my daughter 12 years ago, right from the beginning if she was a girl(WHICH I FELT SURE SHE WAS) we were going to call her Charlotte. At about 19 weeks it was confirmed that she was a girl.
At around 24--25 weeks we changed our mind we thought Charlotte might be to much and decided to call her Sarah Charlotte.
However once she was born without thinking about both my dh and i both started calling her Charlotte .It suited her so at one day of age we changed our minds and called her Charlotte Sarah. 12 years on I cant think of her being anything but Charlotte Sarah wouldn't suit her as a first name. Her nick name is char.
My suggestion to you is have an idea what you want to call your daughter but have a couple of back ups in case the chosen name doesn't suit
Congratulations:)

Charlotte is very ladylike (it reminds me of the girl on Sex and the City) :)
Bailey, Carson, Alexa, Jade or Jada.
