Has anyone tried Bravado brand maternity/nursing bras?

by AnnieBrooke, Jun 02, 2007 12:00AM
I saw some information online about these bras and they said they allow the breast size to fluctuate somewhat.  Has anyone on this forum ever tried one, and if so what was your experience?  Thanks --

I had a Bravado brand nursing bra while I was nursing and I liked it.  I was pretty large while breastfeeding...40DD and the style I had fit more like a sport's bra...like a solid panel across the front, not separate cups for each breast.  I didn't actually fluctuate sizes very much while I was breastfeeding, but it would have been fine if I did...it was made out of stretchy cotton.  It did not have a underwire, which was great for me b/c the bras that had underwire were pressing against me too much and causing clogged ducts.  It was a good bra because I was so large and it did not require an underwire to support me.  Now that I am back down to my prepregnancy size (36C) the bra really does me no good, as now it is way too large, but I had no complaints while using it!

Sorry, me again!  I went to the website to look at the bras and the one I had was the Supreme nursing bra.  It has changed a little since I ordered mine (2years ago), but it still looks basically the same.  Another choice I saw that wasn't available 2 years ago is the nursing tank top.  I would have loved to have that!

Thanks!  I hate the darn underwires on my two good nursing bras, I think they do cause clogged ducts.  A nursing tank top sounds great.  Maybe you can make a slingshot for tennis balls out of your old one (LOL).

I have used them with both my kids but I prefer to wear them either at night for the first couple months of nursing and then as a nursing sports bra. Because of the sports bra design, boobies don't look so great in clothing so I prefer the more traditional type of bra design.   The bravado creates the "uniboob" look. Well at least in the big sizes!

I used the Bravado nursing bras because I could not fit into ANY other nursing or maternity bras.  I absolutely loved these bras, very comfortable and convenient.  No, our boobies dont look wonderful in them but for everything, these bras were worth every penny I spent on them.
