Have I miscarried, or is this normal?

I suffered a miscarriage about a year ago, and recently my boyfriend and I have decided to try again. This month my period never came, however I suffered with period pain. It felt as if I was having my period for about 10days yet I never actually had my period. I because very emotional and could go from being overly happy, to crying for no reason at all very quickly. The pains got slightly worse and then just stopped, and I became less emotional. Have I suffered with an early miscarriage, or is this  a normal sign of pregnancy?

Yes, as the previous poster asked did you take a test? I would take one if you are late. I had pains like I was going to start my period, but never did and I was pregnant. So I think it's normal to cramp in the beginning.

I took a test which came up negative.
