HcG LEVELS SEEM HIGH-- COULD THIS BE TWINS?

Hello all- I am new to this forum because I just found out last week I am pregnant.   I feel completely blessed because we have been trying for over 3 years.

Well, my first level came out to what I considered a very healthy level- 111.  That was 2 weeks after IUI.

14 DP IUI (CD 24)- 111
17 DP IUI (CD 27)- 514
21 DP IUI (CD 31)- 2776

They seem higher than any levels I've researched online.  

Could this be our double blessing? Could this be twins?  

Can those of you who are pregnant with twins or have given birth to twins tell me what your levels were?

Congrats! I am pregnant with twins and I can't remember exactly what my levels were BUT I do remember that they quadrupled, like yours:)  Good luck and keep us posted.

My first level was 210, 3 days later 2,000. I only have 1 baby. The doctor said they can very a lot at first.

I'm only having one. When I was barely five weeks (3 weeks since conception) my levels were 11,000. At six weeks they were at 32,000 and at seven weeks 142000. Sometimes high levels are just normal. Just in case try betabase they give good information.

When I was pregnant with twins, one of the other posters who had twins mentioned her levels, and they were lower than average for even a person with a singleton.  I don't think mine were unusually high (although the range of what is normal is so wide) for the date post ovulation, but hers were definitely lower.  As it happened, one of my twins vanished and she had both of hers.  Not that there is any correlation with vanishing twin, but I just think beta hCG numbers aren't a reliable indicator of one or two (or more) babies.

I am 7w3d pregnant with twins and 14 dpiui my hcg was 105.  48 hours later it was 274 so it more than doubled.  At the time I didn't think anything other than one baby until our u/s last week which showed 2 babies!  My RE only had me get two hcg levels so I'm not sure what they would have been if I'd kept getting it tested every 2-3 days. I started getting really nauseated about the end of that week I got my BFP which got increasing worse along with dizziness and fatigue.  The only way to know for sure is if you go for an u/s.  The tech said a heartbeat can be picked up at 6w2d.  Good luck!  I hope you get your double blessing!

i am having twins. my levels were really low. cd 34 was 49. they were doubling about every 1.66 days.

the first read was low and my doctor said he was not sure it was a viable pregnancy. my next read was still pretty low. so he followed it again. then finally after three low numbers(with great doubling times) he decided to do an ultrasound to see what exactly was going on. that ultrasound found two fetuses. one measured 5 weeks 6 days and one 5weeks 1 day.both hearts were beating already, even though the levels were low.

i am now between(due to lmp and ultrasound discrepancies)  15-18 weeks. my babies are moving around and the fater has already felt them. i guess i am 18 weeks.

the point(sorry i rambled) is that the numbers aren't as signifigant as the fact that they are rising and doubling acceptably.

sorry, i was 7 weeks and 1 day and 7 weeks and 6 days.

don't want to create a panic about seeing the heartbeat at 5 weeks.
