Head circumference below 10th percentile

Head circumference below 10th percentile

I just had my 20 week u/s and was informed that all measurements were normal and that the head circumference was below the 10th percentile.  I was told that it could be the head shape that caused such a small measurement.  The position of the fetus was also not ideal to measure the head or see the face.   The small measurement was the BPD which is the width.  I am of course in  a panic.  My first thought is something is wrong with the brain development.  I was told to come back in a week to see if anything has changed.  In the meantime I am miserable. Any one out there with a simliar experience...?

As they told you that the baby was not in a good place to measure.  I am sure whne you go back and the little has moved everything will be jsut fine for you.  You hear this all the time where the measurements are off. So just keep feeling your baby move and try to relax and believe everythign is normal and on schedule.
