Heating pads?

Heating pads?

I know your supposed to stay away from hot baths and hot tubs while you're pregnant but what about heating pads? I've pulled something in my lower back and want to relax with a heating pad but I'm not sure if it's okay. Oh, by the way, I'm 10wks prego. Thanks in advance!

From what I understand, the no hot tubs and hot baths and steam rooms, and exercising to the point of being too hot is because your core body temp can get too high and THAT is what is dangerous for a pregnant body. That is what I understand at least...I think a heating pad would be fine.

When I went to the hospital for my recent kidney stone, they put a hot blanket on my back to help the pain. I think it's ok as long as you don't use it on high, or for too long.
