Help picking out a middle name

by amberd5191, Oct 17, 2007 04:58PM
Hi Ladies! I know how much help you can be on previous posts with names so I thought I'd give it a shot. We are going with the name Marissa.  A bit of background my first born has my mothers middle name (not intentionally it sounded the best). My husband want to use his moms middle name Lynn, I personally like her first name Loralei (which doesn't flow too good as a middle name).
So any suggestions you can give on a middle name would be great!

Right now the two would look like this:
Marissa Lynn
Marissa Loralei (sounds better included with last name).

Marissa Lynn sounds pretty, I like Marissa Ann, or Marissa Rose too.

I also liked Marissa Rose (Rose is my grandmas name) My grandma brought up doing a longer middle name and using loralei ann so that it flowed better I think its too long.

My parents were going to give me a longer middle name, but thankfully they decided on Claire.  I think Rose would be an awesome way to honor your grandma.

I was going to say Ann also. I really like Rose though! I think you need a one syllable name (sue, ann, rose, kay, lynn.......)

Thank you all for your input, its really appreciated. Who would have thought choosing a middle name would be harder than a first name? :)

Marissa Corinne (pronounced like Core-Inn)

Marissa is a name associate with the sea, and corrine with love and poems both are latin derived.
