Henoch-Schonlein Purpura and Sickle Cell Anemia?

Does  Henoch-Schonlein Purpura and Sickle Cell Anemia have any connections? Is there anyway that once a child has one, they can get the other?
I hope someone can help, as 2 children in my extended family need answers, aswell as their parents.
