Hgc levels very slow

Hgc levels very slow

Hi I'm wondering if anybody has had very slow rising hgc levels and gone on to have a normal pregnancy, my levels at 4 weeks was 1100 then 2 days later 1300 then a full week later 1580, doctors are pushing me into a d and c as they said the pregnancy is defo not viable, I've refused and due to have more bloods Monday I know I'm pretty much doomed but just wondering if anybody else has had same thing, I had light bleeding at 4 weeks but no other miscarriage symptoms since and still feel sick and pregnant. Thanks x

Hi!
I wouldn't raise your hopes too much, but yes, rarely it does happen that HCG levels pick up a bit late. But chances of miscarrying are always very high if HCG levels are not doubling every 48 to 96 hours. Also possibility of blighted ovum or a sac without baby remains high. You can ask for a vaginal ultrasound at 6 completed weeks and if the HCG levels are not doubling then I am sorry, but it would be best to get a D and C. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
