High & Slow rising beta levels

by kristapc, Aug 20, 2007 09:17AM
Just wondering if anyone can help...Just found out I am pregnant (4 weeks since LMP)   I am going crazy worrying about these numbers.  Tested last Thursday and beta level of 3600.  Tested Sunday (in the ER where they think I had a cyst that burst, lots of pain but no bleeding, so they think pregnancy should be fine) beta levels on Sunday were only 4618...my nurse says they are not rising fast enough and may be cause for concern.  Is it possible to have slow rising numbers and still have normal pregnancy?

I know once they hit a certain level it takes longer to rise. I'm just not sure when, I would look it up but for some reason if I go to another website my computer says it's not a valid website, so who knows.  Try googling HCG levels and you can get a lot of info. Sorry I wasn't to much help with my miscarriage my levels just dropped and were never that high and with this pregnancy we decided not to have my levels checked. Keep having them check your hcg and in a couple more weeks (I think they usually cant see anything until 6-7 weeks) have them do an ultrasound to check the babys growth. I was always told that was more important then the HCG levels, but I'm not a doctor. Keep us updated. I hope everything works out for you.
