High HCG Levels

Hi everyone!  I had my HCG levels checked twice this week and the outcome has me quite nervous.  I would love some input.  My first test was done when I was 5w1d and the level was 9,875!!!  At my visit the doctor would have love to have seen me at 500 - 1,000 so I was SHOCKED when it came back so high!!  The second level was taken when I was 5w4d and it came back to be 25,746!!!  WOW!  That seems outrageous!  What do you all think, could there be twins (or more) in there?  They scheduled an ultrasound for 2 weeks, so I guess I will find out then for sure!!!  If it is twins we would really be thrilled!  For once we are financially stable and secure enough to provide for two more little ones.  What do you guys think??

Hcg levels varry per pregnancy, but it sounds like multiples may be a possibility! Do youu or you partner have multiples in your family!?

My aunt had a set of twins on my mom's side, and my dad's brother has twins, so I am not sure if they are applicable, but we have NO idea what is on my husbands side because he was adopted and we don't know his birth parents.

well at my 6 weeks i had hcg leevels checked first one was 17,682 and than 2 days later on wed it went to 23,432  and i was only in my 6 week. amd there is only one in there ,=) i guess my levels are just high,.. good luck to you
