High HcG?

High HcG?

Hi ladies.  This is my first pregancy and I am 5 weeks 5 days today.  My HcG levels have been:
18 dpo - 3,145
20 dpo - 10,180
26 dpo - 37,996.
This seems really high compared to the "normal" ranges I'm seeing on the internet.  My doctor says she's not concerned, and did an ultrasound Monday which showed one sack and one yolk.  I'm to go back this Monday (at 6 wks, 1 day) for a follow-up ultrasound, and they hope to see a fetal pole.  My question is this . . . I woke up with dry heaves Wednesday morning (the day my blood was drawn at 37,996) and have experienced bouts of nausea on and off for the last several days.  This seems reallly early to be experiencing morning sickness, but I'm wondering if it has to do with my numbers being high.  Has anyone else out there had high HcG levels and have you been sick?  I saw several ladies on a post from June with HcG levels over 100,000.
Thanks!

Your morning sickness will typically be worse the higher your HCG is.  Hope you feel better soon.

Your doctor should be able to help you with medications for the nausea.

I have high hcg levels as well.  I can't find anything that says it is a problem unless the pregnancy is molar.  Since you have already had an ultrasound, it would rule out a molar pregnancy.  You can see the molar tissue on an ultrasound.

Good luck and I'm sorry you are so sick.

Here were my levels last week.

14 dpo 456
17 dpo 1621
19 dpo 3407

Thanks for your reply.  I had an ultrasound at 6wks 2d which showed a normal fetus with a heartbeat of 137bpm.  It was so amazing!

Not sure if last week's sickness was just nerves, but I seem to be feeling better.  I've had a few queasy moments, but haven't gotten sick again.  Doctor says not to worry about the high HcG numbers at this point.

Are they going to continue to check your HcG numbers?  I don't think they'll check mine again until the triple screen in the 2nd trimester.

Good luck to you!
