High Risk Pregnancy and Surgery

In a few weeks I will be having surgery to remove the "cyst/tumor" attached to my right ovary and up over my uterus.  It's large enough that they cannot do lycroscopic surgery... They are worried about the slim chance it's cancerous to do a drain....

Has anyone else had surgery while pregnant and stayed pregnant?  If so, how did you cope?  What happened?

Also, for high risk pregnancies, how often should the doctor appointments be?

I had to have an emergency surgery when I was just 4 weeks.  They did the laporoscopy but I did have to be put to sleep. Then I had to be put to sleep at 9 weeks and have my heart shocked for a heart problem I developed while pregnant.  before this I was never put to sleep in my life.  I bleed after both surgery's and it was scary but we made it. I am now 22 weeks.
