High blood pressure in second pregnancy

by lfb, Feb 20, 2007 12:00AM
Has anyone had high blood pressure in their first pregnancy and had another pregnancy without it going up?  I was put on bed rest the first time for the last six weeks due to high blood pressure, and at my 12 week appt. this time the nurse got a high reading.  She had the doctor check it again and it was fine.  The doctor keeps telling me that many women don't have high blood pressure after their first pregnancy, but I am not sure.  I just wanted to hear from someone with a success story.  I am trying really hard to be stress free but I have a 3 year old at home and he is very strong willed!

I started having blood pressure problems in my first pregnancy around 31 weeks or so, resulting in my baby being induced at 35 weeks. I'm now in my second pregnancy, at 35 weeks, and have had no blood pressure issues and the Dr. is pretty confident that I won't at this point. I hope that helps you feel better!
