Hip Pain

Hip Pain

I am 32w1d and have been having hip pain for the last 3 days.  I haven't called my doctor yet because I see him tomorrow.  It bothers me the most at night.  I sleep on either my left or right side with a pillow between my legs.  I wake up every few hours and have to change to the other side because my hip begins to hurt.  From what I have read, this is normal because of the hormones causing the hip ligaments to relax and the hips to begin to spread.  Has anyone else had hip pain?  If so, how did you alleviate the pain at night?  Thanks!

I feel the exact same thing. It is the same story every night and I am 34 weeks. Last night. I just slept on my left side (for most of the night) without the pillow in between my legs but holding a pillow and oit was alittle bit better. Every morning I awake and my hips and butt kills. As soon as I get going though, it goes away until I wake up throughout the night.

Youa re not alone.

I am only 16wks and have also had hip pain at night.  When one side is hurting, I will lay on the opposite side and push on my sore hip in the direction of my feet.  I feel like this stretches the ligaments.. twice it has even popped.  DH even heard it and said, "was that your hip?"

I'm 21 weeks along, and for the past couple weeks, I've had severe hip pain. I've been browsing online to try and figure out what it might be. Most people say it bothers them the most at night. Sure, I'm uncomfortable at night, and have to roll over frequently, but it's 10xs worse when I'm up and about. Exercising makes it so much worse, to the point where I can barely move. Lifting a leg to get dressed is excruciating, and sometimes takes me about 10 minutes to work up the courage to just do it. It's not in my back or buttocks, but feels like it's the joint itself. It's a really sharp pain, and mostly on my right side. Is it the same thing? I found this website, but it doesn't sound exactly the same.
