Ho much is ok?

My doctor has recommended Tylenol for my headaches. I take 2, and it really doesn't help. Is it ok to take 3 at once?

My doctor always told me only 2 of the extra strength every 4-6 hours.

Yeah, I also was told 2 every 4 or so hours, if you are taking the 500 mg. That is also the recommended dose on the box too, I think.

If it's not working I wouldn't take more! Let your doctor know! they could be sinus headaches... Mine don't go away unless I take some kind of sinus  medicine.... My doctor put my on zyrtec to keep my allergies from acting up and causing sinus headaches.... I'm sure that if you tell the doctor that your head is still bothering you he/she will have some sort of suggestion..

Your headaches may also be caused by not drinking enough water.  I know when I don't drink altleast 21/2 liters of water a day, I will end up with one especially on really hot days.

Hi, my husband is a paramedic, and he says that you would be surprised how easily people can OD on tylenol, as everyone assumes that it is a safe and mild drug and that is simply not true.  Stick to the regular dose unless your Dr. okays an increase.  Taking too much tylenol can harm your liver and cause it to shut-down.  Not good when pregnant.  Take Care
