Wow. Poor you and DD! Sounds like she is really having a tough week! What symptoms are you to be watching for and what exactly is that disease? Is it easily treatable?

Wishing you the best and hoping your little sweetheart recovers quickly!

Kawasaki disease is something I hadn't heard of until recently.  I have known one child and talked with the mother of another child who have/had the disease.  It's a very crazy, rare disease.  I really hope your daughter does not have it.  Both children I know of have come through it OK, although there were scary moments for them both.  But there is hope to know that they are now doing well.  Good luck!

My brother had kawasaki disease when he was 3 years old, my mum had never heard of it before, as far as she was concerned kawasaki was a brand of motorbike!
He was v poorly and the skin on his hands peeled of in sheets
its also known as slapped cheek syndrome yes?
I remember one night his temp was so high he was hallucinating and screaming at all of us like we were monsters or something.
We thought he had meningitis to begin with, I think this kawasaki disease is becoming more recognised now as my brother is 13. Have the symptoms have been recognised quite early so the docs know what course to take?
I hope everything turns out ok and baby recovers soon
