Hormonal changes when weaning

Hormonal changes when weaning

I am down to nursing my 12 month old son once a day. I've been weaning him over the course of about 8 weeks-- from exclusively breastfeeding to once a day, where we are now. And I feel like I am in hormonal hell. Nausea off and on, insomnia, off and on diarrhea, cramping, to name a few unpleasant symptoms that have come and gone. My doctor checked thyroid and gall bladder and both were normal. She said it could just be hormonal changes. Anyone else experience this? Anyone know of things I can do to keep the symptoms to a minimum?

It may just be the hormones that want to go haywire becuase of the lack of breastfeeding i was exclusively breastfeeding my kids also my son stopped at 18 months and my daughter is only 9 months and will continue until shes 18 months. But i did not have those symptoms i did have massive headaches when i stop my son from eating.
