Hormone levels/Possible Misscarriage-long question-please help

I had a missed Misscarriage in June 08 and have been trying to get pregnant since. I just found out I was pregnant last Thursday and took 4 pregnancy tests. I went in to the doctor yesterday had an ultrasound and blood tests done. The ultrasound and vaginal ultrasound showed no signs of pregnancy in my uterus nor my tubes. I also started bleeding a bit yesterday morning when i peed and having a small amount of cramping. My doctor called last night and said that my hormone levels from the blood test were only 34, and that could mean a very early pregnancy , an abnormal pregnancy, or a misscarriage and they would retest my levels in two days. This morning the nurse calls and says well, looks like you miscarried again, and ask if i can come in tommorow and take another test to make sure leevls get below a certain numebr..meaning they've given up on my prgnancy already...im not sure why my doctor would say one thing and the nurse say that? On Feb 13 i took a ovulation test and was ovulating , and i didnt know if i could still ovulate if i was already pregnant and or miscarrying already. Also if i was only two weks along would it ahve shown up on apregnancy test last week and if my hormone levels could be a 34 at two weeks along and thats why they6 saw nothing because i could only be 2 weeks pregnant...Please Help Isthere a chance everything could be okay???

I think you should ask the doctor about the difference between what he said and saw, and what the nurse said.

It is one thing to try to do some math and make a guess from the juxtaposition of home tests, blood tests, and what was seen on ultrasound.  But it is another to try to guess why the nurse said what she did; had she done independent examination of your records, or was she saying something the doctor told her?  Nobody can honestly reassure you that everything could be OK when it relies on the contents of an unknown conversation.  I'd phone and ask the doctor to call you back, then explain what the nurse said and ask if she knew something that the doctor didn't tell you.

As far as the ovulation test reading positive, someone on this forum said the other day that if you have pregnancy hormone in your system, it can give an ovulation test a positive result.  I don't know if this is correct, but if so, it could explain why you got one, since you know you have the hormone in your blood.
