How Common is Colic and Reflux

I am interested to see the link between colic and reflux, as my LC said that they often go hand in hand. Also, in my posts about both, many people report their babies had both.

I'm not talking fussy, but full-blown colic. In general, I have found the following to be a general guideline in determining the difference between colic and fussiness. Colic
Begin within the first three weeks of life
Lasts more than three hours a day
Occur at least three or more days a week
Continue for at least three weeks

Obviously, this isn't a scientific study. But this anecdotal evidence may help us guide future posters desperate for help or advice.

addy didnt have colic, but maybe her reflux was due to her being born a bit early.

Carson had colic, screamed the first night home from the hospital & it was a nightly event- faded around 5 months- I was told he held on a little longer than some.  Cam had colic @ 2 weeks & reflux.  I guess I just got lucky & blessed with colic twice so I would say it can happen either way- not fun either time.
