How did you conceive after a m/c?Anyone ever use an ovulation kit?

For those who know me, I had a mc about 2 months ago. After having 2 periods, we decided to t again. Anyway, I bought a ovulation kit, and started using it the day my last period quit. The kit said there is suppose to be a darker line when you are ov. but never got one. I quit using it after 7 days, so I may have ov. then but who knows. Anyway, my question is how many of you got preg right after a m/c, & how long did it take to get preg? Has anyone ever used an ovulation cal? Any luck? I still don't feel normal. I have also notice that I'm having more pain in between cycles, feels like a cyst has ruptured. I am just frustrated about trying to get preg. again, also I work with 2 other women who are very preg. now, one due in Jan & the other due in april, it's so depressing.

I think I did quit taking the tests too soon. I just got frustrated. My periods have been running shorter than usual, and I have had a lot more cramps. I feel better than others have gone through this. The funny thing is I have never paid this much attention to my body before. You feel so much anxiety and anticipation through the whole ordeal. I just try to keep thinking positve, which is very hard for me to do right now. I constantly worry that something is wrong. I have a son, who was easily conceived and the preg. went extremely well, so this has been such a shock. Thanks for all of your responses

If you started using the OPK right after your AF and for 7 days, you more likely than not missed seeing your LH surge. If your cycle is a standard 28 days, you're likely to O around CD14.  However long your cycle, count back 14 days from the end of your cycle and that's when you "should" O. For instance, I have a 35 day cycle and therefore O around CD 21. I started using my OPKs around CD 18. Good luck and hope this helped some.

That's what I did, used OPKs.

I started testing on day 8, and got my LH surge on day 13.  And, it worked, because I'm currently 10.3 weeks pregnant.

I know how you feel. I miscarried in September at 16 weeks and really, really want to be pregnant again. I feel that the sadness I feel won't completely go away until I am.
Last night my sister in law called and very apologetically told me she is pregnant. That made me feel sad and jealous for a while. So I know how you are feeling there too.
You probably stopped testing too soon to see your surge---how long is your cycle normally?
Another thing I have noticed is my body is different now--shorter cycles, cramps when I never had them before, and breast tenderness when I never had that before either.
I think our bodies are just in a kind of shock and don't normalize for a few months.Hormones are just all over the place and trying to get back to normal. So I don't think anyone can really tell us what we can expect.
I used OPK's when I got pregnant with my miscarried one. And I am using them now too.My cycles vary from 26 to 36 days, so I can't rely on the "two weeks after period starts" rule to know when I ovulate. I HAVE to use OPK's. I start testing 9 days after the first day of my period and I test twice a day.It is costing me a lot to do this, but I don't care. If it ups my chances for pregnancy, it is worth it.

I got pregnant last month straight away after a D&C, no AF in between. According to my calculationns I got pregnant 3.5 weeks after the D&C but my midwife seems to think I conceived 2 weeks after the operation because it is more likely to ovulate then. I will not know until I have a scan in 2.5 weeks. Tell me about other pregnant woman! Whith my previous pregnancy, the one I mc, my best friend was 5 months pregnant and my brother's wife the same than me, 10 weeks! Good luck!

i had miscarriage in june....just found out im 5 weeks pregnant...we ttc for them 6 months...nothing happened..spent hundreds of pounds on tests and ovulation kits...i finally thought i give up...then last month started having sex everyday and we think we achieved it by a certain position.....very awkward....i was on my shoulders mith my legs in the air.....lol....wat a lovely thought..... if anything happens to this pregnancy.....im inventing my self some shoulder pads and doing it again...lol...i hope u get ure bfp soon..i know how frustrating it is after losing a baby... baby dust to u all

Hey Everyone.  Thanks for this post.  I just m/c for the second time on 10/13.  I had a D&C done one 10/26 b/c I hadn't started bleeding and then I started bleeding TOO MUCH that I had to go to the ER.  Long story but thank God I am okay now.  We are trying to get PG again and I've started seeing a lot of heavy CM.  Does that mean I'm ovulating again?  If so, we need to take advantage of it.  I don't recall CM like this in a while.  I didn't know if this was a side effect of the m/c.  So let me know if you've experience any of this.

hi there, i think u and i m/c on the same day. i too have this abundant CM so ofcourse we went with it and hopefully conceived! i pray for u! i also wanted to let everyone above know that you can get the doctors office kind of ovulation and preg test strips SUPER cheap off of ebay! there is an ebayer named MEOWMAN and he is in canada. i purchased 20 preg and 20 ovul strips for 9.99 plus shippin...so it was like 14 dollars total. the preg test strips start measuring at 25....i hope this info helps you because i know it can get expensive.

about your CM ..it is a sign of pending Ovul definately! your best day, from what i have read, is when it is (this is graphic) but its best when in between your fingers...it stretches without breaking....so sorry but i am desp for a baby and i have searched the world for all info...just tryin to help! god bless u and i hope it helps!

I m/c in late March.  On November 6th I got my BFP.  In retrospect seven months is not a really long time, but it feels long when you are waiting.
