How long did it take you big gainers to lose baby weight

Ok, Ryan is 12w old and I gained 53pounds.  Was in a size 6 and now a 12.  I stepped on the scale today and have lost a total of 35pounds.  How long did it take you guys to lose that last bit of weight?  What did you do?

I gained 50 lbs with my 1st. I think it's awesome that you already lost 35 lbs! Are you breastfeeding? If you are, the pounds will continue to melt off. I breastfed and I think by the time my daughter was 9 months old I was down to my pre-pregnancy weight. The first 20 or so lbs seem to come off quickly, but after that it's more like 1-2 lbs a week. When my daughter was 1 yr old, I was a few lbs below my prepregnancy weight, and when my daughter turned 2, I was 10 lbs below my prepregnancy wt. Now my daughter it almost 2 1/2 and I'm pregnant again, so I'm trying not to gain 50 this time!

i gained 50 with my first and second and lost it by three weeks PP, but I nursed round the clock and lived off of trail mix and easy to eat foods, with CJ I gained less than 30 lbs and lost 35 by 10 days PP, of course I caught hell from my docs with all three as it was too rapid of weight loss, but it wasn't due to any effort on my part, it just fell off. I looked like hell after having CJ, depsite being thinner than I was starting my pregnancy. I have to agree with the docs, it was too rapid and my body was weak.

Don't fret too much, losing 35 lbs is great, don't stress if it takes a few months to lose the rest.

I gain 100lbs during my pregnancy.  I lost 50 lbs in 2.5weeks.  I had soooo much water weight on me when my doctor gave me a water pill you just would not image how fast the first 50 lbs come off.  Now I am just waiting for my 6 week check up to get the clearance from my doctor to start going back to the weight doctor and gym.  Hope everyone does okay with their weight loss.  Because I don't know about ya'll but I love to eat.  Everyone take care

I've been taking herbs and Reglan to be sure of my milk supply (ds is also on formula, and I'm worried that the lesser stimulation of only breastfeeding for about half his food will cause me not to have enough milk).  Though I came out of the hospital with the weight having just tumbled off accidentally (I think I was 6 lbs. higher than pre-pregnancy then), my weight has actually increased with the breastfeeding and now I'm about 18-20 lbs. higher than pre-pregnancy.  I'm beginning to wonder if it is the effect of the stuff I take to be sure of the milk.  Apparently the Reglan and the Goats Rue will lower your blood sugar, and when I'm hungry I eat as always.  But since it's making me hungry more often, I'm eating more than before.  This is just a theory.  Maybe I'm simply pigging out.  ;)

Since figuring some of this out, I've cut out all sweets except sugar in my tea, and lemonade.  (This means no desserts, and no sugared sodas.)  That has helped me sweat off about 5 lbs. since highest post-pregnancy weight.  I still have a belly but it's not quite as icky.  Once I'm done breastfeeding, I will see if stopping the herbals etc. also stops me from being so hungry.  If so, I hope I can just walk the rest of the weight off.  I'm also going to start Pilates, not for weight control but for strength and flexibility.  Augie is beginning to feel sort of like a sack of cement when I carry him for long distances now.

Oh, that is the rest of the plan.  I intend to run off the last 15 lbs. by chasing my (already surprisingly active) child once he learns to walk.  LOL

I gained 65 with my 1st who's now 4yo, lost 22lbs by the next day. I had bad swelling, but not preeclampsia. By my 6 wk pp checkup, I was 7 lbs over prepregnacy weight.

With my 2nd DC who's now 2 yoI gained 39lbs, and got to prepg weight around 4 months.

With my 3rd who's now 4 months, I gained 52lbs and still have 5lbs to lose. Seems like it takes forever, and the clothes never seem to fit the same again

I gained 42lbs after having my little one, the first few weeks were slow but then it fell off me, thinks its because you are on the go so much more when you hvae a baby, dont get as much sleep etc, regardless of how much you eat it still seems to come off. I am back to the weight i was before i had the baby and he is 13 weeks old, thats madness but just goes to show it never takes too long x

I was 12 weeks when I miscarried and had already gained 15 pounds in that time and I haven't been able to lose more than about 5 pounds.  I was a size 3 and now am a 5, I am a teen so I would have figured it wouldnt have been hard to lose those pound but I just can't seem to shake them.  I also developed stretch marks on my thys and butt once I miscarried, not before.  I had a lot more physical activity prior to getting pregnant but I have just had surgery on my leg so... once im up and going agian, it should hopefully come off.  Does anyone have any good ideas on how to lose that extra weight?

I gained 37 with Ayden and according to my moms scale I have lost 30 5 weeks pp.  I fit into my old size dress and shirts but forget the pants.  I can't even get them over my hips.  I was already 15 lbs over weight before I got pregnant so I have lots of work to do.  I was looking at pictures from his baptism last week and I look huge!  My husband tells me to stop complaining about it because its annoying so I guess I have to vent here.....
When you figure out how to get it off quiker let me know!   I am breastfeeding so I'm hoping that will help.  I'm also going back to bartending next friday and had to quit my sit down job so hopefully me not sitting on my butt will help too.   Ahhh the price we have to pay!

LOL @ Peek!
I gained over 100 with DD #1. It took me about 8months to lose.  I gained 40lbs with DD#2.  Lost 15lb right away and slowly lost...........THEN!!!  I progressively gained more as the years went by.........ugh.......Now I am 17 wks PG with #3 and SO FAR (((Fingers crossed))) I've only gained 1lb!
You have to also remember it takes while for your uterus to go back to normal and also your body will most likely never be the same again........EGADS!  Unless you are lucky like Hollywood actresses/models..lol

i hear so many women say on another site i go to that they dont care how much weight they just want to eat. well sure it sounds find and dandy, but its not always easy.  some people are very lucky and they do drop the weight fast. not everyone, that is why i am trying (not trying my best unfortunatly) to not put too much on i learned that lesson from my son.  im 26 weeks and i have gained 14-16 pounds, id rather it be 12-13  at this point, but i do like sweets lol.  i will have a scheduled c in 13 weeks so hopefully i will gain only 25-27, much better than  the 55 with my first!!  girls walk.  get the baby out and walk walk walk.  run if you can, there are some great jogger strollers out there.  also make sure you eat enough, dont starve yourself or it wont ever come off.  my feet never went back to a size 7, and my body will probably never ever go back to a size 10.  id be happy with a 12!! i wont push it though, i have to get through xmas!!   im not a pro though, i just know what worked for me.
