I was advised to wait at least 2 weeks before I have any intercourse, because of the risk of infection. If you weren't too far along (more than 10 weeks) and you didn't have d&c, I guess you can wait only two weeks and start trying. Also, during these 2 weeks, don't use any tampons, avoid dushes and swimming pools again because of the risk of infetions.

My doctor told me to go ahead whenever I felt ready.  I mc on October 20.  Had sex about 1 week later.

I was about 7 weeks i went for an u/s on monday and everything has passed naturally and they gave me antibiotics just to stop any infections so i suppose i should wait the 2 weeks to make sure the bleeding has stopped,im not going to ttc straight away think i will put it on hold until after the new year im not emotionally ready to try for another pregnancy right now.

I also m/c'd at 7 weeks and My Dr. said it was fine to resume sex once the bleeding stopped as long as I was feeling up to it.

I m/c at 11.5 weeks and bled for two weeks. DH and I were keen to be close again and had sex a week after bleeding stopped - which started a whole flood of bleeding (and panic!) again.

We waited another week, and things still felt very tender inside. We had to take things quite gently. I don't know if this is normal or if its because I was quite far along at m/c.

Now 6.5 weeks post m/c and everything seems to be back to normal.

I know i feel like i want to have sex but i went off it completly whist pregnant i think its just the being close to my dh again after what seems to have been such a long and difficult time i just dont want to start up any infections.

I would wait for your re-check to make sure there isn't tissue left ( I know - it'll seem like that is NOT possible after that kind of bleeding), but when I went for my recheck they said there was still tissue in there - and that if I got pregnant before that cleared, I would miscarry again.  And no one wants THAT to happen.  I'd just wait and go back to the Dr. for a recheck and ask him or her.  Good luck!
