How much is he supposed to eat?

Reilly is 4 weeks old now and is drinking about 27-28oz of formula in 24 hours. I know that he should be drinking at least one ounce every hour. He is around 9 1/2 lbs and 21" now and growing really fast. My question is, is he getting enough or  too much? How much is too much PER feeding? He takes an average of 2-3 oz at each feeding right now. Thanks ladies :)

Oh I forgot to mention he eats every 2-3 hours.

I think that he is eating what he is supposed to be eating at that age. When my daughter was that little I remember that she ate about that much at every feeding and that ofter.

At that age my daughter drank about 3 oz. every 2 hours. So that sounds about right. She was 9 lbs. 2 oz. at birth.

Thanks ladies. I just wanna make sure that I'm not over feeding him or starving him. He seems content, but I worry all the time.
