How much should a 3 month old eat?
I am wondering how much my 3.5 month old should eat - as in ounces of formula?  Somedays he eats like, 6 oz every 2-3 hours and then somedays... such as the last few days, he eats and therefore wastes significantly less.  When he left NICU I was told he needed at least 2 oz each feed to stay hydrated... but how much should I make sure he gets each day?

It depends on how much they weigh.  The lactation consultant gave me a sheet of how many oz they need in one day based on their weight.  I can tell you what it says if you tell me your babys weight.  :0)

I am not 100% sure of what he weighs, but I believe he is about 13.5 lbs.

SHOOT, I cant find it!  BUT it sounds like he is eating just fine.  My DD was 4 lbs 14 oz when she was born.  She's almost 9 months and is 14 pounds!  hahahaha  I'll keep looking for the sheet.  My DD still wont eat more than 4-5 oz at each feeding but because of reflux, she eats every 2-3 hours STILL!
