How much solids to feed 6 month old?

My dd just started solids this week. She had rice cereal mon-wed and today we tried squash....she loves it! I made my own squash and gave her about 2 ounces. She would have loved more, but I don't want to overfeed her. What is a serving for a baby her age? She is 17lbs. It is so fun to feed her. She smiles and grabs and laughs.. my DS gagged on baby food so this is my first time feeding baby food.

I would let her eat as much as she wants.  Babies vary in how much they will eat each day.  She sounds healthy:)

The big thing when introducing solids is that your baby is able to turn their head away when they are full. If your child is able to do that, then I'd feed as much as she wants! :) That is what my ped told me!!

dd also started this week. i'm taking it slow, increasing a little everyday. i was worried that it would be hard for the tummy to go from just milk to tons of food quickly. i'm up to ffering a total of about 1/4 cup at a time (milk, cereal, veggie mixed). she still takes a full bottle after, so i know she could probably eat more, but i'm gonna add gradually.
