How much water can a six moth old have.

My daughter is six months now. She love water. My concern is can she have too much in one day, should I limit what she will get in a day or can she have as much as she wants.

There is a level of water consumption that is dangerous, but it is really high.  Talk to your daughter's pediatrician for advice.  Before you do, measure her water intake in a 24-hour period (either measure out a pitcher of water and be sure her drinks come from it only, then measure when the time is up, or keep a chart).

My pediatrician said that they do not need any water because formula is mostly water. However, if we chose to give her water, to make sure it was nomore than a few ounces a day. There is something called water poisoning in babies. Since their blood volume is so low, the electrolytes can easily become unhealthily diluted if the baby drinks too much water. In additition, there is the concern that she be getting the recommended 24+ ounces of formula or breast milk each day.how much water is she getting?
