How often do you bathe your baby?

My daughter is 3 months and it has been extrememly hot here in CA. So I started bathing her everyday... I'm just curious as to how much you all bathe your babies?? Someone told me that giving her baths everyday will dry her skin out.. but what if I use lotion??

when mine was born it was winter so i did every other day. now that its warm (ca girl here too!) its every day.  my sis was a wash-a-holic and her kids ended up with skin irritations.  i use the berts baby bees to wash addison and she seems fine with that on a daily use.  i love clean smellin babies!

One of my FAVORITE smells is clean babies--totally agree with Perty.I have used Baby Magic with all seven of my babies; that's "our smell". And I love it so much when their hair is soft and fuzzy and clean smelling.

And I agree--in the winter, every other day is good. But in the summer when they get sweaty--every evening before bed is good. If you use a mild soap/wash and lotion, I don't think you will dry out her skin.
Also, the older a baby gets, the more often you will find you need to bathe them because they are eating solids--and lots ends up on hands and faces! And if you give them a little lick of your popcicle, it ends up drooled down their fronts. lol And when they are crawling, their little knees might get a little dirty--depending on where they are crawling. SO I defintiely bathe Jameson more now that he is older.

I give my daughter a tubby every day...one of our favorite times of the day!!  I use the Johnson & Johnson baby wash and her skin is fine - not dry at all even without lotion.  But I am also with Jenny100 - love the Baby Magic but only use it occasionally!

Hmmm I must be the odd ball here, but I only bath Jacob 3 times a week.  Maybe I have a stinky baby and don't even know it :)

Ya U akways give her a bath right before her bedtime bottle.. i notice she sleeps a lot better... and i use the Johnson baby wash too! I love it!

everyday! specially when its hot. i live in california too. its about 90 degrees where i am. besides, bathing your baby everyday calms them , relaxes them , and they sleep better. when it gets cooler, do it once over other day or once every three days if your schedule doesnt let you do it everyday.

I'm with Tanker, I give my son a bath like 3 days a week.  I try to do it more often but with his napping at strange times and my working, it just gets difficult to do every day.

I'm 2 or 3 times a week per Pediatrician recommendation. I had REALLY bad excema growing up and it's hereditary and have always been told that every other day is sufficient, less when they're infants and not crawling in dirt and such. I do sponge bath daily to get the milk residue and such out of the neck and other skin folds.
