How soon can you test?

This is my first time posting, but I always read this site.  Anyway, I was just wondering how soon to test for pregnancy.  I have been having sore breast, cramping and other pregnancy symptoms.  I havn't missed my period yet - I am not suppose to start until December 23.  I took a pregancy test yesterday and it was negative and than again this morning with my morning urine and negative again.  Are these readings accurate or should I wait a couple more days and test again?

That has happened to me before and anxious to know, i tested too early and they were all negative, so if you're suppose start dec.23 then try a week after that  .. maybe that can help

My cousin and i were in the same situation, and she didnt think she was pg so a week later she tested again and it was positive, i was negative.. I just dont think they are as accurate..

My Doc has always told me to wait at least 5 days before testing.  Well, fat chance of that.  I couldn't wait with all the symptoms.  I made it to 3 days late this time and tested positive.  Hope all goes well for you.

I tested the day before I was late and got a very, very, very , faint line which was 13dpo with the dollar store brand and they are suppose to be the most sensitive. The next day when it was due I tested and got a solid line. My point is I guess everyone is different. Some people on here get a positive as early as 10dpo(that hasn't happened to me in ANY of my pregnancies). If you just have to test(POAS) buy the dollar tree brand and pee away.

I tested 3 days before my missed period and got a positive,  I used an accuclear early test (targets)  Good luck!

Testing 5 days before your period is due, with an early detection test, is only about 60% accurate.  It's too soon.  Wait until the 23rd and I believe the accuracy, of any test on the market, is something like 98%.

i just tested this morning with fmu, 2 days before AF is due and got a negative...of course i'm thinking that i'm not gonna be pg but u just never know. my friend who just found out she is pregnant, tested 3 days before af was due and got a negative and then got a positive a day after she was late.
