How to Start Natural Family Planning With No Period

My husband and I are really not comfortable with the birth control methods available today with hormones, and I do not want to go back to the copper IUD.  We have been using the withdrawl (withdrawal) method and once in a great while condoms (but I always get BV after using them so we have stopped) but this is just... not so great.  So we would like to do natural family planning but I still have not got a period.  We had our baby 4 months ago, and I am pumping.  He does not eat formula, only on rare occasions, but I only need to pump 5 times a day.  

I was wondering how you get started with it when you really don't have a cycle to get you started or if you can?

i don't know... sounds like russian roulette to me. you have no way of even guessing when you'd ovulate. even opk's wouldn't be a good solution since sperm can live for 5 days and they detect LH surge approximately 24 hrs before ovulation.

by the way, even after your period returns, don't rely on it to be regular for several cycles.
