I KNOW I am 8 weeks pregnant but U/S shows only 6 weeks???

I have been battling infertility since 2004. I just finally found out I am pregnant from my last fertility cycle. My date of last period was 3/16/09 my scheduled follistem cycle had me ovulating on 4/2 but the eggs on my U/S were not mature enough so they had me take 2 more days of shots which put my ovulation date at 4/4 I did not have intercourse until AFTER i found out I was pregnant besides my "fertile days - April 1-4th." So there is no chance of my eggs coming ready and conception happening 2 weeks later. I was showing a positive on my pregnancy test on 4/17 my HCG quant was 686 on 4/23 and 1243 on 4/25.
I had my U/S today and the lady says I am only 6 weeks pregnant??? We DID see a heartbeat (124 bpm). And everything else looks find as far as she can tell except that i appear 2+ weeks behind in fetal growth...
I am really concerned because i have not found any other discussion where they are more than 1 week behind in Fetal growth. My baby at 8 wks 4 days is only showing at .3 inches. Which everything I have read says it should be around .5+ inches....
So does anyone have any advice???

I had the same problem with my last pregancy. My son was born on March 1,2009. The doctors told me he was a small to date baby. The first due date they gave me was Feb12/09.The second due date they gave me was March12/09. Well the first due date ended up being the right one. My son ended up being 17 days late.My son had lost 2lbs due to him being late. If you know when you got pregant, then  mothers now best over what doctors think. I know this because I just went through it 2 moths ago. My baby was small when developing, but they make up for it when they are out in the world. My son Keanan was born at 6lbs 6 ozs, he is now nearly 13lbs at 2.5 moths old. it is said they double there weight by six months. Keanan has almost doubled his weight and he is on 2.5 months old. My baies heart beat at 3 months was 160 beats per minute. The lower the heart beat means you will be most likely having a girl. Keanans heart beat gradually got slower as he grew, but nver was under 140 beats per minute. Boys hearts beat faster than girls. Not sure why it just is. Thanks well at least I am not the only one with that problem! The heartbeat had me relieved but of course size had me worried. I have another U/S one from that last one so they can monitor growth and make sure everything is ok. OH how slow a week will go!! And I thought the heart rate gender prediction was the other way around? I am hoping for a girl though. Daddy thinks it will be a boy since he has a boy and his whole family is 90% boys.  My mom said the doctors always told her she was going to have a boy right up until she delivered me LOL.

HI there, this is my first pregnancy and I'm going through the EXACT same thing.  We had our first US yesterday and I should be 8w3d but the baby only looks to be about 6w.  The doc said either the dates could be off, or the baby may not be growing right...so of course we are freaked out now.  However, I"m obviously not a doctor but it would only make sense to me that I would be 6 weeks, because i got pregnant six weeks ago!  I didn't get pregnant on the date of my last period, and quite frankly I think it's crazy how they measure this way.  I'm hoping for the best and going to have another US in 2 weeks.  This will be a looonng 2 weeks!  Please share if anyone else has any advice or insight on this.  Thanks.

I have the same problem too, my doc says I am 8 weeks and 2 days pregnant but When I had my first UltraSound, I am only 6 weeks and 6 days pregnant! I too is freaking out, What should I do, wait for my baby to grow? I have another U/S on August 12 to establish the age of my baby but is this really right?
