I don't understand...

Okay, so on the weight loss forum they all talk about hCG which is a hormone (or not according to some) which is found in pregnant women.  This is harvested and injected into people wanting to lose weight.

So why do we get fat while pregnant?

I have never heard of this, but I know that I was sick as a dog each time and lost 15 lbs. with each pregnancy.  Of course I gained it back at the end, but it was always nice because I never had to lose any weight after baby.  It was awful during the pregnancy though.  I think we look fat during pregnancy because of the baby (of course) and all the fluid, who knows.  Noway I would take on the morning sickness though and not get a baby out of it.

I gained sooooo much weight that as sick as it sounds, I pray for morning sickness this time (when I fall pg that is)

when i took shots to loose weight they were using ECG ( equine chorionic gonadotropin) not HCG which is the human version of the same hormone.

during pregnancy we make alot of new or incresed hormones though. it helps us build up the needed nutrients to nourish a baby
