I have a tear in my plecenta

I'm 16weeks pregnant and I started bleeding Saturday night. It was still flowing lightly on Monday so I called during my lunch break. I went in and they did an ultra sound and told me that I had a tear in my Placenta. But the question is, how long will I be bleeding? What can I do to help heal it? And I suppose to feel any pain? and How will this affect my child and I?

Bedrest, no heavy lifting n no sex, I've nit had one personally but they could all make it worse not sure bout feeling pain, if u take things easily there's a chance it will heal n cause no problems.
