I posted last week but have new symptoms

by mmg9603, Mar 29, 2004 12:00AM
I posted here last week and got responses but have some new symptoms to report. Let me recap first.
I am fairly new here and new in the TTC field. My husband and I got married in September 2003. Due to medical problems, we have decided to try to concieve now. I went off the pill the beginning of March and have seen an increase in my sex drive so needless to say we have been BD almost everyday for the last week. I have been feeling icky lately, lightheaded and naseau in the morning as well as at bedtime. I now have a horrible headache, migraine type. Is it possible I am pg and don't know it?? I have never even had a scare being on the pill so I have no clue what to expect.
Well I saw my OB/GYN on Saturday and started prenatal vitamins. Saturday morning I woke up with a sharp cramp like pain on the right side down by my hip bone. I asked my doc about it and she just said it could be anything. When I asked if I could be pregnant, she said it was possible but I hadn't had enough time since last date of BDing to be able to tell. It only lasted Saturday morning and afternoon and by Saturday night, it was gone. I am wondering if you think it might have been implantation? Please if anyone can help, write back!

I've never heard of pain like that from implantation. I've never felt it myself. If you think you are pregnant, go get a HPT that's 4 days early-ease your mind. Actually, buy a 2 pack and if it's -, take another in 5 days or so. Good luck.

I actually took one on Saturday but it was negative. I might try one next Saturday if I still feel like this!

Try the first response-you can take it 4 days before your AF is due. With my last pg I used this one and it worked.

It's just bizarre, I feel out of it. I cry over everything, I feel tired, and lightheaded and like I said, that pain was bizarre!

Hi,

I have all those same symptoms almost every week. The Hip pain thing is like a shooting pain that comes and goes?

The rest of it- have your blood sugar checked.

I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) with Insulin resistance. (Lucky me!! :o) ) and am on medication that helps your body metabolize insulin, which helps you ovulate somehow. I've had it explained to me a lot of times- but I always forget exactly how. Anyway- the symptoms you are talking about have eased for me since I've been on the Metformin and I've had blood tests that show I'm ovulating now.

Just thought you might like to know someone else who goes through the same thing and something to possibly check for. PCOS has lots of symptoms, and is one of the biggest causes of female infertility. There is alot of info about it on the web.

Good luck, and babydust to you!!! :O)
