I'M LOST!!!! NEED TO HEAR GOOD THINGS

by PAJN, Apr 04, 2007 12:00AM
MY FIRST HCG WAS 11 (MARCH 30)
SECOND HCG WAS 37 (APRIL 2)
THIRD HCG WAS 55 (TODAY APRIL 4)
my dr says they need to rise and that they gonna test it again on friday to decide what to do, that make me nervious because my hcg is rising but not as far they need and I'confuse because my LMP was on march 5 it means I only 5w3d and according to the hcg level I'm fine, I would like to know if I'm right or not, what to expect? I'M TAKING VAGINAL CAPSULES OF PROGESTERONE to increease the levels.

Thanks

I would wait it out a little longer see what happens after the next hcg count.

At 5wk0dy I was 7360....but they thought twins because my numbers were off the charts.  They were not expecting that.

Your numbers are right within range so I wouldn't worry just yet.  Some women just tend to have slow rising hcg.

My friend here at work didn't even test positive for hcg until she was 10 days late and she is now 30 weeks....

Try to relax....I know how hard it is.

your numbers really are not that off...

my first read was 49. they scared the **** out of me by saying it was too low.
next read was alot higher and they said it was too high. they took another and still said it was too high, then finally my last one they did was really high so i had an ultrasound and it was twins. my levels just got a slow start to rising.

you may be a few days later than you think if you o'd late( it is possible)

ideally your hcg should double every 48-72 hours. you are within that range. also, progesterone will not make your hcg rise. it will however raise your progesterone which supports the pregnancy.

one last thing of note. if they do perform an ultrasound and your levels are still below 1000 they probably won't see anything. i would not worry if that happened.  in my opinion you are just earlier than you think. one week can make a huge difference in the numbers that early in the game. if the doctor wants to do a d&c or some form of that i would either refuse for a bit longer or seek a second opinion.

good luck

i would just have faith and wait. your numbers are rising just fine. there is always the possibility you ovulated late and those numbers are just very early. that is what happened w/me, now i am 20w6d and pg w/boy. good luck!!
