IS IT POSSIBLE THAT MY DUE DATE CANE BE OFF BY A MONTH?

by amarie92389, Jul 03, 2009 07:33PM
I just want to know if its a possibility that my due date could be off by a month. I was told i concieved around the 28th of november I did have a period at the beginning of november and it fell in a little earlier than normal and lasted about 3 or 4 days. My periods had been a little ruff before that but the and where lasting 5 days, for about two cycles. But before that they where no bad and lasted 3-4 days.My doc calculated my due date as august 19th. But before I went to the doc I went to the emergancy and the calculated the same thing when I was around 6 weeks. Every ultrasond ive had come up to be the same thing since then, but is there a possibility that i conceved earlier than that? Everyone seem to think im not going to make it to the 19th and honestly I dont feel like I am. Been a little crampy lately and im going on 34 weeks on thurday.Any ideas?

If every time you were seen by ultrasound they said the same thing, it would be very unusual for your due date to be off by a month.  My perinatologist once told me that "In the third trimester, it is not a matter of being comfortable, it is a matter being less UNcomfortable."  It seems more likely that this is what is going on for you than that a whole bunch of ultrasounds would be wrong.

I agree.   If all ultrasounds have consistently shown similar dates, then the chance that it was off so enormously is slim.

If you are 34 weeks and crampy, its a good idea to mention it to the doctor.  You don't want your baby born this early.
