IUD and no period??

Hi all, hope everyone is doing well. I had my IUD inserted at 6weeks post partum which was Mid Feb 2007. I then nursed Quinn until she was just under 7 months old. In 16 days she will be 9 months and I still have not had a period. Is this normal??

i got my IUD at the 6 week pp check up too, and didnt get my period until my dd was 13 months old

I didn't get mine back until T was 15 months old, It was literally a few days before I weaned him. Some women will not get theirs back or will have very light periods.

I started to give Sam a bottle a couple of weeks ago but am still nursing part time, my period returned this weekend, not fun!

I thought w/ an IUD, you never got periods..maybe I am misinformed? not sure now....

I got the Mirena one. I have heard mixed things like some women bleed like crazy on an IUD and some women have very few or no periods at all.

A copper 7 should make no difference in your periods, but I think with the Mirena, they're ligher to none at all.
