IUI and cervical mucous

ok here we go again, really confused, I am in my 3rd round of IUI each one completely different then the last, I had my hCG trigger at 2pm  2 days ago, had EWCM yesterday afternoon 1 time then nothing. alot of pressure this am. and had my IUI done this am, told md i dont even know if I ovulated or not. tons and tons of CM after IUI I litterally had to stop on my way home from MD office and go in the bathroom thought I maybe peed my pants, it was that wet, tons of EWCM>> did I ovulate then or was it just from IUI, any help would be appreciated. thanks.

hey there, see 10/31 response on same topic.  after iui, there is some fluid that they use to shoot the sperm up into the uterus through the catheter with so that's probably what came out. for me it usually came out pretty quick after the procedure.  i know it's hard but try and put a little faith into your fertility dr.  they've figured out the timing for you so you don't have to be soooooo concerned about the exact moment you are going to ovulate.  there is a window. try and relax and keep busy while you wait.  i know this is the absolute hardest time... the waiting period.  ughhhhh!!  i wish you lots of luck and baby dust!!!!

HI I have a few questions about IUI. Dr. has told me thats its really not that painful, but I had HSG dye done and it was very painful to me and the IUI sounds like the same procedure just sperm not dye. Can anyone explain this to me? We are looking at doing this if we don't get pregnant this month. It is my 3rd round of clomid 50mg and timed I/C. Any advice is welcome

hi there, i hope you still see this... i just noticed your comment today.  no, an iui is not the same as the hsg dye.  i had the hsg dye too and it was VERY painful for me too.  the hsg blows dye thru your tubes.  an iui simply deposits your husbands sperm up into your uterus thru a catheter (skinny tube) which they insert up into your vagina.  sometimes i felt absolutely nothing at all while doing a  iui and sometimes i felt a slight sensation as they inserted the catheter but no pain.  more uncomfortable to get a pap smear.  i hope you get this.  let me know if you have any other questions.  good luck!!
