IVF/Progesterone Injections

OK - I have been taking progesterone injections since the day after my egg retrieval.  My doctor advised me to only give them in my rump.  I am so tender back there now, it's hard to find a spot that doesn't hurt to give the injection - did anybody elses doctor tell them this or were you able to give it in the leg or arm?

My doc said other places hurt more (LOL).  Seriously, his advice nurse said the upper thigh is OK but it can hurt so much that you end up limping.

Well GEE - my booty hurts too!!!!  :)    I guess I'll just keep going with the rump area as I don't want to limp.  I only have to go until August 1st and it's worth the end result!!!!  Thanks for the imput - it's greatly welcomed!!

they switched mine to in my midsection at the butt - it was wonderful - like right around where your arms hand = almost no pain - It was so much easier

My butt protested royally when I was getting the pio shots, too. One suggestion is to microwave a wet washcloth (15-20 secs) and hold it over the injection site for about 10 mins. It helps with the soreness.
