Another idea is to try frozen bananas or even diluted juice popsicles (closely supervised of course)
If the pain is interferring with eating or your toddler seems to be in pain, then look into orajel, tylenol or motrin if the frozen stuff doesn't work.
I agree with Andij-try other methods first. Orajel or something along those lines usually works fine. I read that ANYONE taking any kind of pain reliever for regularly for long periods of time can develop liver problems. Just something to think about. Try to give your toddler frozen fruit to knaw on and try topical pain reliever gels first. Let pain reliever be a last resort.
Hey, Aren't you due really soon??? How's everything in your household? Holding down the fort at mine. Some hiccups here and there, but all in all, we are all good.
I have just under 5 weeks left!! We did a fetal fibro-nectin test on Tuesday and is was negative, so we should have at least 2 more weeks : ) They did a cervical length yesterday, but it could not have been accurate as she tried to say it actually increased in length (from 3.5cm-over 4cm). The tech was an idiot, my fav tech wasn't there.
Other than that, things are good. Just busy with school, Jonathan and John. John has heart surgery next week and will be out of commission for 2 weeks, so that makes it tough to get stuff done to get ready fro Tristan's arrival : )
Hey, I didn't realize how fast the time flies! Wow you are almost due and Chloe is 17 weeks! I just told her it seemed like yesterday she was testing! Anyway, my point...I just wanted to make sure after you have Tristan that you will try and still come and post on the board. I know things will be hectic for you and your time minimal, but your advice is greatly appreciated and much needed!!! When DH and I are ready to try again (3 m/c in the last year) I was hoping that you will be around from time to time. (Man that sounded selfish, huh? hope you know what i meant! lol) Glad to hear things are going good for you. John will be in my prayers for his upcoming sx.
DITTO to what Heather said. I'm actually 25 weeks...yep, time flies. Starting the "uncomfortable" stage, but it is so welcomed! They say after 26 weeks, the chance of survival increases dramatically.
Wow feels like a little reunion on this thread, huh? So many newbies here, I don't see much of the ones that were here when I first came. I don't post a lot so I haven't gotten to know many of them. I so happy that you are doing so well. Wow! 25 weeks! Do you know the sex? Names? I'm jealous...lol. Keep us updated! Congrats!
I hope you know I will always be available, even if I am not on the board here, you can reach me via email at AndiJ.***@****
I have been floored by how quickly this pregnancy has gone by. I think that having so much on my plate has helped things go by so quickly!! Between chasing a 2 year old, full time classes and everything with John, I have little time left to watch the calendar.
Here is a link to the website I have been tinkering with. The latest u/s picture of Tristan is up there.
Keep your chin up about getting pg, Heather. It took three m/c before finally having Jonathan and then another one before getting this far with Tristan. I won't go on the God tangent. Just have faith in yourself and your dh. In time, things will fall into place. It is never easy to lose something you want so badly, but it really does help us to put things into perspective as far as how precious life is. Keep me posted on how things are going. I am always around : )
Good job on the website! It's so amazing to see the comparison in the u/s pics. Of course I just had to sign the guest book, hope you don't mind. Thanks for your words of encouragement and I took down your email. Will you be putting new born pics on the site too? I can't wait to see them!
Of course I will : ) I can't wait to share the news with everyone!! And of course I don't mind you signing the guestbook, Heather. I figure that is what it is there for, right?
