Im 9 weeks pregnant and no baby was found!!!

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and no baby was found I went to the ER for spotting,they did a vaginal ultrasound and they said that the sach was the only thing growing inside of me..what's going on with that I have cravings,my breasts got larger,I'm very confused:'(

did they discuss what this means for your pregnancy? are they going to send you for a second ultrasound to confirm? or bloodwork... or anything? im not sure but unfortunately it sounds like it could be a bighted ovum...

A blighted ovum (also known as “anembryonic pregnancy”) happens when a fertilized egg attaches itself to the uterine wall, but the embryo does not develop, cells develop to form the pregnancy sac, but not the embryo itself(so there no baby). A blighted ovum usually occurs within the first trimester before a woman knows she is pregnant. A high level of chromosome abnormalities usually causes a woman’s body to naturally miscarry.
