Any advice would be greatly appericated!!
Thanks..
How old is your son? It does not mean he has to have asthma but if the doctors see a pattern with his wheezing then they may diagnose him which would mean he would stay on an inhaler for a while.
Usually they will wait to diagnose till 2 yrs old. Many littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys ones will have a reactiveReactive arthritis airway and outgrow it. My older son was bad, they thought he would not grow out of it, but he does really well, at 5 I only have to neb him when he gets sick. My 17 month old sees a pulmonologist for his breathing, nebs daily, uses an adult dose steroid inhaler, and takes Singulair. The family history is bad on my husband's side, not him but his sis, anyway, they are hoping Cam outgrows it too. He hated the inhaler, but has gotten used to it, and has been on the neb since he was 2 months old, so he never knew any different. Talk to your Dr. and see what they say. Good luck and keep up the meds, it really does help. Cam wheezes alot still, more than they like, but it only gets bad now when he gets sick, it all goes to his chest. Hopefully the wheezing goes away for your little one in time too.
My dd was diagnosed about 8 months ago when she was just 7 months old. She has an inhaler it was hard at first but she got used to it. Just look out for Thrush. Make sure you rinse his mouth out after he uses it. My dd had it a few times even with me washing her mouth out.
Ask your doctor to be more specific with your sons' diagnoses.
