Imodium while breastfeeding

Is it ok to take imodium (immodium) while breastfeeding??  I read that its category B and "usually compatible with breastfeeding" but I'm not really sure what that means.  Would I be better off doing the "pump and dump"?  If so, for how long?

Forgot to ask this - my 3 mo old (exclusively bf) usually only poops once a week.  Will me taking Imodium (immodium) make this worse for her?

DH is a pharmacist. he said to pump and dump until 24 hrs after taking last dose. immodium is excreted in breast milk and cause constipation in the infant.

I was actually given the okay by my pharmacist as it is better to avoid possible dehydration in the mom, which can severely affect your milk supply.

I simply took one single pill and it was enough to fix the problem and my then less than ammonth old infant had absolutely no side effects, no interference with his stools at all.
