Infant Penis swelling

My newborn is currently 4 months old. I have just explored that while pissing the penis crown of my baby is getting bigger in size like swelling. & it seems almost transperent like we can see the urine through it. (Not actually just is seems like that). but while pissing it seems that the baby is in pain. still its urinating is normal & OK. It's urinating pressure is also fine. But it seems that he is in pain. Suggest

  It could simply be that urine is trapped under the foreskin while urinating (this happens normally sometimes in uncircumcised male infants) and is known as ballooning of the foreskin.  I can't tell by your description if that is what is happening or not.

If he becomes unable to urinate, let the doctor know right away.  If you are simply worried, you should also call the doctor.  

I'm concerned that you say he seems to be in pain.  For that reason alone, I would take him in to the doctor.

Thank you for your reply. I just got the doctor & he feels the same way. still doctor suggested to rub the foreskin while daily massaging. He feels it will cure the problem. But if it doesn't then surgery is the only key. Suggest.

Your baby is only 4 months old, this ballooning - if that is what it is - can happen even over a couple of years. It is a positive sign that the foreskin is starting to loosen and detach from the glans (glands). By all means, give your boy more time before rushing into surgery. Massaging might improve the situtation a tiny bit but don`t expect much of it - and most importantly, do not forcefully retract the foreskin. Just give it more time.
