Infant bile

My Daughter was born with a Duodenal Atresia. She was operated on for this birth defect, which seemed to correct the problem for about one month. Subsequently adhesions developed and she was operated on again.

My daughter will soon be in her tenth month and she seems to be doing well. She is eating nicely, however, every time she vomits we wonder what is to come next.  My daughter is currently taking medications for acid & bile reflux.  Is there anything else we should be doiong to prevent current and future gastrointestinal issues?

I appreciate any suggestions you can offer.

Im sorry to hear that but I couldn't tell you what to do maybe just do some resource and see what you come up with.

I would definetly get in touch a doctor or pediatrician and discuss any concerns regarding feeding, treatments, etc...
I had a cousin who had billiary atresia  as an infant. Having a child who needs surgery or is ill - is so worry some for the parents.

We have been seeing a surgeon who specializes in pediatric minamally invasive procedures. At our last apt. he stated that we're doing well and don't need to see him any more. Phew!!! I'm just wondering if there are things my wife and I have not thought of yet?

You are correct, surgery is incredibly stressful.
