Infant cold

sorry for my bad typing but aylas takiing up my arm lol. well im pretty sure ms.ayla has a cold. she has been VERY congested, sneezing, coughing. Is there anything i can do? Shes a little over 3months.

The only thing you can do with a cold is give her tylenol every 4 hours.  Does she have a fever?  Tylenol will bring down the fever as well as make her feel a little bit more comfortable.  You can't give her anything for the cough.  For the congestion I recommend using a humidifier or steam up the bathroom with the shower and just sit in there for a 1/2 hour or so.  That will clear her up a little bit.  You can also use saline nose drops if she's having difficulties breathing out her nose.  That's about it....unfortunately with a cold there isn't much you can do.  It's just got to run it's course.  Poor baby, it ***** when they are sick.

Yea they told me to give her the tylenol every4 hours! But she really doesn't have a fever but maybe it'll catch it before it starts? I think I am going to try the bathroom thing. I'll just put her in there while I'm taking a shower. Thank you mami! Uh it scares me since Im an EXTREMELY paranoid first mom! Lol.

It still helps her feel comfortable even if she doesn't have a fever.  Don't worry I am a first time mom also and I've already lived through 2 colds that my son caught.  It's all part of motherhood, there are a million things to be paranoid about unfortunately.  She'll be fine.
